1. Physician Authors for Internal Medicine

We are seeking on-site general internal medicine physicians to collaborate with our subspecialty physician authors on writing and editing content for online products. Authors will work with a team of physicians, editors, and illustrators to produce high-quality content for our USMLE™, Internal Medicine, Family Practice Qbanks, and other products in development. USMLEWorld is used by almost all US medical students and residents and many practicing physicians for their test preparation. This is a great opportunity to help educate future physicians with innovative tools.

Overview

  • Physicians will work part-time in hospital-based or outpatient practice and the remainder of the time at our corporate office located in the Dallas, Texas area
  • Clinical work can be one or two weeks of a hospitalist position per month or two full days or five half days per week of outpatient practice
  • Nonclinical work at USMLEWorld will include weekdays 8 AM to 5 PM without calls or weekends

Requirements

  • Physicians must be ABIM® eligible or certified and have high performance on the USMLE™
  • Physicians must have professional writing skills, exceptional communication skills, superior medical knowledge, and a passion for training future physicians
  • Prior experience in writing board-style questions or working in an academic institution is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary of $250,000+ per year (for non-clinical + clinical work)

2. Medical Content Reviewers: Basic Sciences

USMLEWorld is seeking two (2) motivated and talented medical graduates to review our basic sciences material. USMLEWorld is used by almost all US medical students and residents and many practicing physicians for their test preparation. This is a great opportunity to help educate future physicians with innovative tools.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a well-known US medical school
  • High performance on the USMLE™ (250+ scores in Step 1 and Step 2)
  • Must work onsite from our Irving, Texas office (Dallas/Ft. Worth area)
  • Must be a team player but capable of working independently
  • Professional writing skills, exceptional communication skills, superior medical knowledge, and a passion for medical education

3. Technical Support Specialist

We are currently seeking to hire one highly-motivated individual as Technical Support and Data Entry Specialist who will make an immediate impact. Successful candidates will have experience with technical support and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution via email and telephone
  • Resolve technical-support issues, including installing software and educating users
  • Identify and correct operational issues
  • Perform data entry and web page updates
  • Log common user issues and coordinate with developers
  • Create technical and procedural documents

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in technical customer support environment
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, web pages, and computer applications (databases and word processing)
  • Experience with graphic and image editing software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Must be willing to take new responsibilities as needed
  • Must be flexible to work on weekends and nights based on rotating support schedule

4. Web and Graphic Designer

The Web and Graphic Designer will contribute to the Company’s vision and goals by developing and maintaining new product website (from concept to creation) and by designing related marketing materials (including print and online collateral). The Web and Graphic Designer will liaison with production and publication houses for advertising and marketing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design website(s) for current and future products and produce HTML/CSS pages, banners, icons, logos, Flash product demos, sample animations, etc.
  • Create marketing and promotional collateral including brochures, catalogs, raffle items, product advertisements, newsletters, and promo items.
  • Design and manage internal print materials including envelopes, business cards, letterhead, and flyers.
  • Design trade show booths and related accompaniments including banners, table-top displays, and signage.
  • Collaborate on UI design and layout of mobile applications and desktop applications.
  • Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts. Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches.

Qualifications

  • Must have 4+ years graphic design experience.
  • Must have advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) and working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Must have knowledge of printing guidelines and experience managing print production.
  • Must have solid organizational, planning, prioritization, and self-motivation skills to successfully meet deadlines while working independently.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $45,000 - $52,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Up to 3 weeks paid time off
