The BIMS approach to USMLE test taking will occur in many test center locations occurring on or about July 8, 2009.
The BIMS program works in the following way: On the test date, the examinee’s fingerprint will be taken and a digital image will be converted from that information. This data will automatically correspond to other personal information of the test-taker, adding an extra level of security to the USMLE test taking process and authenticity of the examinee.
